Frequently asked questions about our custom picture frames

'Will my frame come with glass?' 

All of our custom frames include acrylic glazing (unless you opt for "No glazing") to sit in front of your picture. This has the advantage of having the same visual effect of glass, but is much safer and easier to ship.

'What material are your custom frames?'

All of our custom picture frames are made from wood, and finished in a huge range of colours and styles.

'Do your frames come with hanging hooks/cord?'

Yes! Depending on the size of frame/s you order, your frame with arrive with either sawtooth hangers, or hanging hooks and cord. On frames with dimensions of 70cm or under on either the width or height (e.g. 50x70cm) we attach sawtooth hangings. Above this size (e.g. 75x85cm) we include professional strength picture cord, along with a set of screws and hooks. You'll also get a set of landscape and portrait 'starter holes' so that you know exactly where to position the hanging hooks included.

'How long will it take for me to get my frame/s?'

- Mainland UK Standard delivery takes 2 working days: currently one week on all custom items due to demand levels

- Priority Rush - Next Working Day Delivery: currently unavailable due to current demand levels

- custom frames, custom mounts, print and frame (single image and multi image up to 15 photos)

- excludes: multi print and frame above 15 photos and all ready made items including Nielsen frames

*Unfortunately this excludes Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and the Isle of Wight. We'd like to extend this offer to customers across the whole of the UK but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this as it takes longer for our carriers to reach these areas.

'What is a 'mount' and how do they work?'

A mount is simply the name for the 'border' than you often see surrounding artwork in frames. Most of time people choose to have a mount to provide more 'breathing space' around their artwork in the frame. 

When you input your picture size we take those dimensions and reduce them ever so slightly on each side. This is standard practice in framing, and is done to ensure your artwork doesn't 'fall through' the mount opening!
